  • A Little Bit About Us

    👉 Who we are

Here at FBC Milton our main focus is Jesus Christ. Though times, traditions, and styles have changed throughout our long history, we remain dedicated to three things: declaring the gospel, developing believers, and deploying disciples.

    👉 Where we come from

FBC Milton began in 1845 under the name "Milton Baptist Church" and the leadership of Jesse Messers Flowers Jr. Since then, FBC Milton has sought to minister to the residents of Milton, Santa Rosa County, the state of Florida, and to the ends of the earth through ministry and mission efforts.

    👉 Where we are headed

More than ever, FBC Milton is committed to fostering a family built around the life of Christ. And as we move forward as a church family, the gospel remains at the center of who we are.

❤️ What this means for you

You are always welcome at FBC Milton. We are saving a seat for you. Wherever you are in your faith journey, you will always be accepted at FBC Milton.

  • How long is an FBC Milton service?

FBC Milton's services are approximately 60 minutes in length. Services begin with the Celebration Choir & Orchestra leading the church in music - song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along or engage in worship however you feel most comfortable. After the music portion of service is completed, one of our pastors will come out to share an encouraging and hope-filled message from the Bible.

  • What's the culture like at FBC Milton?

You will quickly discover FBC is a family of believers who focus on the relationships that matter most. We worship together, we serve, we love, we learn, and we reach out to our world with the life-changing story of Jesus Christ. If you’ve been considering, praying, looking, and hoping for a place to belong, let us welcome you again to First Baptist Church, Milton!

  • What about my kids?

We believe church should be fun and meaningful for kids—and at First Kids, we make that a priority! 🎉 Just as important, we are committed to your child’s safety, which is why we use a secure and detailed check-in process.

If it’s your first visit, please plan to arrive about 10 minutes early to get checked in. We offer a nursery for infants through 2 years old, and preschoolers can attend a worship experience designed just for them during the main service. Children in 1st–5th grade attend worship with their parents.

All of our volunteers are background-checked and trained to provide a safe and caring environment. Learn more about First Kids by clicking the button below!

Our Values

We are committed to living out the values of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to love God, love others, and share the good news of Jesus Christ.

We believe the Bible is important.

God’s Word is our foundation. It guides what we believe, how we live, and what we teach.

We believe worship is important.

God is worthy of our praise and our lives. We gather regularly to worship and seek His presence together.

We believe sharing the gospel is important.

Jesus is the only way to a relationship with God, so we are called to share His message locally and around the world.

We believe prayer is important.

Prayer draws us closer to God, changes us, and impacts our lives. We create intentional opportunities to pray together and grow individually.

We believe relationships are important.

As a church family, we care for and support one another, growing together in faith and community.

We believe serving our community is important.

God has placed us in Milton to serve others. We follow Jesus’ example by meeting needs and loving our community well.

Our Beliefs

We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.

  • Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is at the center of everything. We believe that Jesus is the only one who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life. We believe that Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.

  • The Trinity

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.

  • The Bible

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives.

  • The Separation

We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.

  • The Reconciliation

We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and a fresh start with God, we must repent of our sins, believe in Jesus, and commit to His will for our lives.

  • The Church

We believe as a church we exist to do three things:

    1. Declare Christ to those who do not know Him
    2. Develop Believers who follow Jesus daily
    3. Deploy Disciples into the world with the Gospel
  • Doctrinal Beliefs

At FBC Milton, we are a cooperating church of the Santa Rosa Baptist Association, the Florida Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention. As a Southern Baptist Church, we affirm "The Baptist Faith and Message 2000." To read more on our doctrinal beliefs click the button below!
