What to Expect on Your Visit
Location: At the corner of Highway 90 (Caroline Street) and Canal Street in downtown Milton, Florida. Greeters at the Visitors' Center in the Sanctuary foyer will help you find your way to your destination on campus. Locate us with Google Maps
Sundays: Sunday School groups meet in several buildings on our downtown campus. At 10:30 the church streams into the Sanctuary for worship. Members and visitors are dressed in everything from suits to jeans. During our Florida summers, ties are discouraged because it is "2 Hot for Knots."
You will hear and sing a blend of several types of worship music ? contemporary worship songs, traditional hymns and gospel songs. Pastor David Spencer delivers biblically-based sermons, and often plans sermons series on books of the Bible. His latest sermon series is "Parables of Jesus."
The evening worship service is more casual, with contemporary music. The pastor's sermons remain biblically-based.
Families: Activities for all ages fill the calendar and the campus of First Baptist Church.
Sunday School groups provide age-appropriate activities for preschoolers through adults at 9:15 a.m. During the 10:30 a.m. worship service, children may leave the Sanctuary during the "Welcome Time" to attend Children's Worship in another building.
The Student Choir (grades 6-12) rehearses on Sunday afternoons and children's AWANA begins at 5:30 p.m. and continues until evening worship ends at 7 p.m.
Wednesday evening is home to a plethora of events beginning with a Family Fellowship Meal at 4:45 p.m. Children study music and missions during "Worship Quest," and middle school and high school students enjoy fellowship and study.
In addition to our regularly schedule, several family-focused events are planned throughout the year.
